‘Thala 2008’ Dance
Performance by the Channa-Upuli Performing Art
Foundation. Talented dancers of the Channa-Upuli
performing arts foundation performed traditional dance
acts such as ‘Kuveni’, ‘Sath Paththini’ and ‘Sigiriya’
with a modern twist to them, personally choreographed by
Channa Wijewardene himself who has trail-blazed the
local dance arena and is now well known for modernizing
traditional dance by adding international flavour to the
local and traditional forms.
