The First Sil Programme of the Heathrow Vihara - 11th September 2011 |

The first Sil programme of the newly established Heathrow Temple was held on the 11th of September 2011 on the Binara Full Moon Poya Day. The eight precepts was administered to the devotees by Ven.Wanduramba Kassapa, the Head of the temple followed by Anusasana (Admonition), Buddha Vandana (Paying Homage to the Buddha), meditation and Dhamma discussion by Mr. Sugath Seneviratne. Buddha Pooja, chanting of Pirith by the Upasakas and Upasikas, sermon by Ven. Malangama Pangnasara, live Dhamma Desana in Sri Lanka on television were also included in the programme. The programme was concluded with Gilanpasa Pooja and blessing by chanting Pirith by Ven.Wanduramba Kassapa. |
