After assuming duties as the new
High Commissioner for Sri Lanka H.E. Dr. Chris Nonis
received Blessings from the Mahasanga when he made a
courtesy visit to Sri Saddatissa International Buddhist
Centre in Kingsbury. Head of the Vihara and the Chief Sangha Nayaka of Great Britain, Ven. Galayaye Piyadassi Nayaka Thera welcomed Dr. Nonis and the party. All the resident monks at Kingsbury temple chanted Seth Pirith to bless the new High Commissioner. H.E. Dr. Nonis thanked the Maha Sangha for the warm welcome and the blessings he received. He said that he was happy to be in London again and would do his best to serve Sri Lanka as the new High Commissioner. |
