The Annual New Year Festival organised by Thames cultural and welfare foundation and Thames Buddhist Vihara continues to go from strength to strength under the leadership of the most Venerable Pahalagama Somaratana Nayake Thero. This year event was held at Archbishop Lanfranc School in Croydon on Saturday 16th April 2011. The New Year festival was graced by the presence of Minister Susil Premjayantha, The Acting High Commissioner for Sri Lanka Mr. P.M.Amza and the Mayor of Croydon.
