Ashirvada Pirith Chanting Ceremony at Athula Dassana International Buddhist Temple - 8th January 2012

Ashirvada Pirith Chanting ceremony was held at Athula Dassana International Buddhist Temple, to invoke the blessings for the New Year and for being successful in completing six months as a Buddhist temple in Hounslow, performing the Buddhist religious rituals and services to the devotees of London and surrounding areas.

On the full moon poya day of 08th January 2012 all the devotees gathered to the temple to observe the Eight Precepts. During the day they have participated in several activities such as Dhamma sermon and Meditation. It was Mrs. Irangani Samarakoon and her friends who sponsored for the Dana to the Reverends and the devotees.

Deputy Minister of Higher Education Mr. Nandimithra Ekanayaka, the chief guest for the ceremony brought the Relic Casket in procession.

Ven. Dediyawela Wimala Thero of Upton Park Buddha Vihara, Ven. Teldeniyaye Amitha Thero of Leicester Buddhist Vihara (Head of the temple), Ven. Pasgoda Piyarathana Thero and Ven. Anuradhapura Pannarathana Thero from Edmonton Samadhi Meditation Centre, Ven. Bambarabotuwe Ananda Mangala Thero and Ven. Homagama Kondanna Thero are the monks who took part honourably in this sacred occasion.

Head of the Athula Dassana International Buddhist Temple, Ven.
