This was
organised by Lanka Matha Foundation,
which was recently established with the
noble objective of assisting fellow
underprivileged/disadvantaged countrymen
back in Sri Lanka. This musical concert
raises funds to assist a deaf and blind
school for children in the remote part
of Moneragala, Sri Lanka. This school
looks after the education and wellbeing
of more than 100 deaf and blind children
with many shortcomings
and with greatest difficulty.
Sri Lankan musical meastro Victor
Rathnayake's "SA" concert is one of the
greatest Sri Lankan classical musical
concerts ever and it has been performed
over 1500 in various parts of the world
during last 40 years. While raising
funds for a noble cause, Lanka Matha
Foundation gave the Sri Lankan community
in the UK a chance to experience this
musical extravegansa in their adopted
