A
large number of old rajans living in UK
along with their families and friends
gathered at a popular Sri Lankan
restaurant, Prince of Ceylon on Sunday
27 December to celebrate the reunion of
2009 of Dharmaraja OBU UK . They came
from all parts of UK ; from places as
far as Scotland , Wales , North, West,
and South of England, and Midlands etc.
braving freezing weather conditions. The
get-together provided a great atmosphere
for everyone to meet with old mates and
also forge new ties with fellow old
rajans and their families scattered all
over UK. The evening was spiced up by
Paduru Sajje, live music performance by
a group of young talented musicians and
among them were a couple of old rajans
who displayed their musical talents to a
delighted crowd. As things hot up with a
round of hoppers with katta sambol,
everyone joined together singing old Sri
Lankan hits. Popular big match song
‘Rajans Kollo’ was a big hit on this
evening before signing off with the
college and national anthems. Sri Lankan
authentic cuisine by Prince of Ceylon
added plenty of taste to one of the most
memorable reunion of old rajans in UK .
The Dharmaraja Old Boys Union in UK
wishes to thanks all members and their
families and friends who turned up on
this evening. Special thanks should go
to the sponsors, well wishers and the
musicians for their excellent support
