The new musical band name called SANGA has
been formed in London recently and they had their first
musical evening at Feltham Assembly Hall on 31st October
2009 from 7.00 pm. It was great success evening with nearly
250 audiences. Kamal Purage the proprietor of the Rantharu
Caters was the main organizer of the event and all other
SANGA members worked really hard to make this event success.
They showed the difference between SANGA and other Sri
Lankan musical bands in UK by singing variety of songs and
playing different kind of musical instruments.
Drums – Kamal Purage, Bongo – Chandana Fonseka, Key Board –
Dilshan Lowe, Base Guitar – Nimal Lazarus, Lead Guitar –
Sachith Pieris, Rhythm Guitar – Sandhavaruna Pathiraja,
Octapads – Suresh Tharanga were showed their back home
talent on the stage. Nilakshi Gunathilake bought SANGA night
in to top level by adding her voice to the show and all
other members of SANGA were sung except Kamal Purage. The
guest artists of the event were Sanath Udugama, Sunil Perera,
Sunil Wimalarathna. Gershey Kandegama dancing academy and
Ishara Perera added more bright to this evening with
oriental dancing. Asiri Bandara hosted whole event with his
