Vesak celebration 2009
at Jethavana Buddhist Vihara, Birmingham was successful
with hundreds of devotees gathering at the temple
premises. Under the guidance of Head of Vihara,
Venerable keppetiyagoda Gunawansa Maha thera Mr.Saman
Palitha and family sponsored the children’s Vesak day
and Mr.Ananda Hikkaduwa, Mrs.Anuruddhika Hikkaduwa and
Anuradha and Saduni sponsored the adult Vesak programme
on 10th May 2009.
Ven.Nepol Sumana thera, Kingsbury Buddhist Vihara,
London delivered dhamma talk on children Vesak day and
Ven.Teldeniyaye Amitha thera, Leicester Buddhist Vihara
deliverd dhamma talk on adult Vesak day as invited guest
monks.
Mapalagama Soratha thera, Ven.Siridhamma , Ven.
Rajanganaye Sumedha thera, Ven. Ambhagahawawe Medhankara
thera went together with the events conducting the
religious activities with eight preceptors and gathered
devotees at the programmes. All JBV devotees attended
the events with much faithfully and commemorated the
birth the enlightenment and the passing away of the
Buddha.
