H.E. Justice Nihal
Jayasinghe, High Commissioner for Sri Lanka presented credentials to Her Majesty the
Queen Elizabeth II at the Buckingham Palace on Tuesday,
28th October 2008. He was taken to the Buckingham Palace
in Royal Carriages drawn by four horses; a special
regard afforded to the Heads of Missions accredited to
the United Kingdom from Commonwealth countries. The High
Commissioner was accompanied by officials from the High
Commission. After the audience with Her Majesty the
Queen the High Commissioner hosted a reception at the
High Commission at No.13, Hyde Park Gardens. A large
number of invitees representing the Sri Lankan community
in the UK as well as dignitaries representing the
British Government including the Right Hon. the Lord Naseby were present at the reception to congratulate the
High Commissioner. |
