Api Wenuwen Api Sri Lankan Musical & Cultural show performed by Tri Services Music and Dance Troupe held at Stourbridge Town Hall, Stourbridge West Midlands on the 27 /9/2008. Show was attended By Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe defence adviser to the Sri Lankan High Commission in the UK and many distinguished Guests.
Full house concert was a great success. The audience had 3 1/2 hours of Kandyan and Low Country dances combined with drum performances, modern choreographed dances and patriotic songs were of a very high quality and perfectly executed. The show was ably compeered by Mr Lucian Wijesinghe Veteran Sports Commentator from Birmingham.
All proceeds from this event donated to Defence Ministry Api wenuwen Api housing Scheme for Service personnel.
The show was organised in Midlands by Dr Hewa Vitarana, Mr Shantha Perera, Dr Salinder Mahalekam, Mr Wasantha Wasala and Mr Suranga Dissanayake
