A special Api Wenuwen Api
awareness program was held at Downley Old School
Community Association Hall and the event was organised
by the Sri Lankans living in High Wycombe. Most of them
are young professionals and they organized many
successful Sri Lankan events. They all gathered to
support Api wenuwen Api fund raising project. Brigadier
Prasad Samarashinghe, the defence advisor to the Sri
Lanka High Commission in London attended as the guest
and described the project and its background. The
official video of the project which was produced by
Tissa Madawala also showed to the audience. This event
was well attended including Ven Rahula thero of
Letchworth Buddhist Vihara, Tissa Madawala, Nalina and
Dushmantha of Api wenuwen Api committee. |
